One of the key takeaways from our 2017 Integrated Resource Plan was to explore the growing use of electric vehicles, so we’re launching a new study to investigate the effects widespread EV charging could have on our community.
We’ll be measuring charging habits and how they impact the grid through our study partnership with FleetCarma, a technology leader in EV data collection.
Owners of all-electric or plug-in hybrid electric vehicles are eligible to apply to join the study, and they can earn incentives at the beginning and end of their participation.
Approved participants will receive $25 for enrolling their FleetCarma device so that LES can collect data. At the end of the two-year study, the participant will receive another $25 for returning the device. Participants also will have easy access to their personal charging and trip data throughout the study via the web.
If you’re interested in applying to be part of the study, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
